Barrier free accessibility
Information about barrier free accessibility
In order to open up our services to as many people as possible and to make them free of technical restrictions and without additional equipment, we are currently working to implement the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), the global benchmark standards of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), for this website. These will enable us to guarantee you the best barrier free accessibility possible. This process is currently still ongoing, but we take all its requirements very seriously when developing our digital products further. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have problems. You can use the contact form to tell us about your experience as soon as you encounter a barrier on this website. We will be happy to receive your feedback. A barrier-free website means a website which can be accessed by everyone without needing additional installations and without technical restrictions. The term barrier-free website is therefore not only aimed at reaching physically and/or mentally impaired persons but means each and every user.
Arbitration procedure
If you feel, after giving us feedback to the contact address stated above that you are not satisfied with the solution suggested, you can contact the arbitration board provided according to §13 a HmbBGG. The arbitration board has the task of providing support in reaching an out-of-court resolution of disputes on the subject of barrier-free accessibility between persons with a disability and public bodies. The arbitration procedure is free of charge. There is no need to involve legal counsel. The activities of the arbitration board, which is still being set up, are currently being carried out by the Ombudsman’s Office of the Senate Chancellery.
