Single bike locker – the exception
Here your bike stands alone in a locker. Single bike lockers can only be found at a decreasing number of stations and are being progressively replaced by locker facilities for several bikes, thus creating more capacity.

Overview of prices and booking information
Whether you only want to use our parking spaces occasionally, at particular times of the year or all year – we offer various contract options according to your needs. You can find an overview of all our contracts and their terms here:
Renting a secured bike parking space
Do you want to make sure that there is always a parking space available for you in one of our bike stations (Radstationen)? Then these rental rates for renting a fixed parking space could be interesting for you:
All-year bike parking contract
- Costs: € 90 (once a year) / € 126 with additional use of a personal deposit box
- Valid for: at least 12 months
- Contract term/ cancellation: The contract will be automatically renewed. It can only be cancelled giving two weeks’ notice for the first time after the elapse of 12 months, or after that giving two weeks’ notice to the end of the calendar year (31.12.).
- Upgrade: for a surcharge of € 36 a year you can also get a personal deposit box at selected locations.
Quarterly bike parking contract
- Costs: € 24 (once a quarter) / € 33 with additional use of a personal deposit box
- Valid for: at least 3 months
- Contract term/ cancellation: The contract will be automatically renewed. It can be cancelled giving two weeks’ notice to the end of the quarter.
- Upgrade: for a surcharge of € 9 a quarter you can also get a personal deposit box at selected locations.
Renting a personal deposit box
You don’t need a parking space for a bike, but would like to rent a personal deposit box? Voilà:
All-year personal deposit box contract
- Costs: € 66 (once a year)
- Valid for: at least 12 months
- Contract term/ cancellation: The contract will be automatically renewed. It can only be cancelled giving two weeks’ notice for the first time after the elapse of 12 months, or after that giving two weeks’ notice to the end of the calendar year (31.12.).
Quarterly personal deposit box contract
- Costs: € 18 (once a quarter)
- Valid for: at least 3 months
- Contract term/ cancellation: The contract will be automatically renewed. It can be cancelled giving two weeks’ notice to the end of the quarter.
And this is how to book a secure parking space in a locker facility for several bikes:
Use the interactive map to look for the bike station which is best for you to park your bike on your journey through Hamburg. Click on the station and then on the link to the booking form.
On the form, select the station you want and choose whether you want to book a bike parking space and/or a personal deposit box. After entering your personal details, just send off the request online.
You will then receive a reply from P + R-Betriebsgesellschaft mbH saying whether the parking space you have requested is available and after that you will be sent a draft contract. As soon as this has been confirmed by both parties your access card and the PIN code for it will be sent to you by post. Now you are all set to go and your reserved parking space is waiting for you.

this is how the bike stations (Radstationen) work:
After you have concluded a contract with us, you will receive your access card and a PIN code to go with it by post. The card and the PIN code are valid immediately and you can park your bike at any time. To open the bike station, just hold the card against the display at the entrance, enter your PIN code directly at the operating terminal and off you go. You can open and close the door to the bike station as often as you like during your rental period.
The same applies to your personal deposit box: you can use the locker as soon as you receive the card.
FAQ
Our Bike+Ride facilities have been given a new look and are now called bike stations (Radstationen). Apart from that, nothing will change for you.
- Choose the station you want via the interactive map or the site overview
- Fill out the request form (bike parking space and/or personal deposit box; the rental period you want; your contact details)
- If the rental object you have requested is available we will send you the rental contract
- Return the signed contract to us together with a SEPA direct debit mandate
- Then you will receive your access card together with your PIN code from us and off you go.
You can find our so-called high-low cycle racks at many of our bike stations (Radstationen) in Hamburg. There, you can park your bike on two levels in vertically staggered racks. The use of these high-low parking racks means that there is more space in Hamburg to attach bikes quickly and easily.
It‘s simple: all personal deposit boxes are equipped with a socket – and marked with a white charging symbol.
No, your bike is not automatically insured. Please remember that there is no attendant at the bike station and you use it at your own risk. Please note in addition that we do not assume any duty of care or liability for bikes, accessories, luggage or other items left in the station.

Locker facilities for several bikes are roofed and electronically operated locker facilities. They offer you secure and dry parking spaces directly next to stations. Bicycle lockers offer you secured parking spaces for your bike at bus stations and rapid transit stations which provide optimal protection from vandalism, theft and bad weather. Like the spaces in our locker facilities for several bikes, you need to rent them for a fee. Besides the bicycle lockers at stations in the public transport network, we also offer parking for bikes in lockers in various neighbourhoods in Hamburg.
